The Lozere fly fishing lodge

Where to find : Les Ajustons, this place, where the Lot and the Colagne rivers join forces, has always been a mythical place for fishermen, as the waters of the Mont Lozere and the Margeride come together. It’s position in the heart of the fishing waters of the Lozere allows for a quick and complete prospection of the riches of the Land of the Sources. On this cross point of departmental roads you can fully enjoy the great variety of fishing waters with minimal driving (between 10 and 30 minutes by car). Also it will be easy to adapt to the prevailing weather conditions.

You will find 4 NO-KILL fly-fishing zones within 10 km., less than 10 minutes by car.

The lodge is situated on the border of the Lot. You will find Trout and Grayling and you have calm and rapid waters in the immediate vicinity. From the lodge you have direct access on foot to the Gorges du Lot and the Colagne.

The Fly-Fishing Lodge : This lodge has a 2 ** classification Gîtes de France, originally it used to be an old water mill, quite isolated from other houses and on a site of 5 acres on the rivers edge and with only 1 access road.


Equipment :
- A living with a couch and television and equipped with locally made Lozerian furniture.
- A well equipped kitchen (oven, dish washer, washing machine, micro wave , fridge and freezer, coffeemaker…)
- 2 Bedrooms with 6 beds (possibility of seperate parents and children’s room). All furniture is Lozerian made
- 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet
- For infants, children’s bed, chair and children’s bath available.
- A covered veranda (river side) with garden chairs and barbeque
- A canoe is available on the rivers edge.

Fly-Fishing equipment :
- One room where you can hang your waders and boots to dry .
- A room equipped with a bench vise, lamp and models of flies that are representative for the Lozere.
- IGN maps of the department with indications of favourable fishing spots.

Renting Arrangements : You can rent the lodge for weeks ( Saturday till Saturday or for week-ends).The prices are all-inclusive except bed linen and cleaning (cleaning can be provided at extra cost). Dogs are admitted with no extra charge. You have the choice of 3 renting formulas.

- Free formula : This is a normal lodge rent without extra services. At your arrival we will receive you and inform you of the various touristic and sports activities that will help make your holiday a success.

- Fly-Fishing Guide Formula : During your weeks or week-end holiday and depending on your wishes and budget, you can make use of my professional fishing guide services. I can make you discover the most beautiful itineraries of the “Land of the Sources” and I can help you improve your fly-fishing technics. I will be at your disposal for a 12 hours day, complete with lunch basket (taken on the waters edge, transport from the lodge/hotel to the fishing sites and loan of equipment for : 110 € per day and per fisherman.

- Help with the Choice of Fishing Waters formula: For sport fishermen who do not wish individual guidance, but who wish all the same to make their fishing holiday a success, I offer assistance in the choice of fishing waters. This arrangement consists of an evening session in the lodge, where I will present and explain to you the fishing water guide of the department. I will also present the flies which prevail at the moment. Furthermore, every morning, I will present to you on your mobile phone (indispensable for this arrangement) the best sectors and rivers, with regard to the prevailing weather conditions, The type of fish and the fishing conditions in the various rivers and water sheds. For 10 € per day and per fisherman, I will choose for you, keeping in mind your expectations and technical level, the best sectors to explore. In this way you will put “luck” on your side and make your fishing holiday a success. It is also possible to arrange for a complete lunch basket (first course , main dish , cheese and desert, wine and coffee). If you choose for this option, you can collect your lunch basket at the Hotel Ajustons, next to the fishing lodge , for a price of 10 € per day and per fisherman.
