This land is has so many wild rivers of very good quality that many people have called it “The water tower of France”.This area of middle mountains offers a temperate climate which allows sport fishing at an early time of the year and with a good fishing from the opening till the closure of the season. With 13 inhabitants per km², the Lozère is the least populated department in France. It harbours landscapes and well preserved rivers, that are not influenced by urbanisation and industrial pressures.

In short, the Lozere is a paradise for trout fishing, the more so as its principle attraction, besides the water quality, is the large variety of its rivers and lakes.
