The Tarn

The mythical Tarn river has its source at 1550 m altitude on the Lozère mountain (Mont Lozère).

From it’s source it runs through the Lozere over a distance of 100 km in to the west.

Its water is slightly blue and is extremely clear, therefore you can see every fish which is a real pleasure. Because of its high lime content you can fish in early spring with dry flies.

On this river the approach and the spot you choose to fish from is of extreme importance to succeed in catching the beautiful brown trout of the limestone gorges. Many are bigger than 35 cm.
